What is a formation wing walk?

  • An exhilarating adventure where two wing walkers simultaneously stand on top of two separate aeroplanes.

  • The two aeroplanes with the wing walkers on top fly close together or in pilots terminology ‘they fly in formation.’

Availability:

  • Weekdays at Headcorn Aerodrome: Headcorn, Ashford, Kent, TN27 9HX.

  • £50 for each HD Film (Purchase on the day, ready to take with you to watch as soon as you land!)

Formation Wing Walker Requirements:

  • Available by appointment only at Headcorn Aerodrome on Weekdays

  • One wing walker to weigh no more than 85kg (13.3stone) and the other to weigh no more that 89kg (14stone)

  • No taller than 6ft 2 inches (189cm)

  • A 10 minute airborne flight on our two beautiful stearman biplanes; flying close together

  • Able to climb up to the rig which is positioned on the wing of the aeroplane, unassisted

  • Able to withstand the wind pressures whilst flying at speeds of up to 130mph

  • Required to sign a declaration of fitness on the day

  • Available for a 2 hour time slot on the day

    They must not:

  • Be under the influence of alcohol or drugs on the day of the flight

  • Suffer from drug or alcohol addiction, mental health issues, or are pregnant.
